Little Rock Adventure Part 1

What an eventful few days! Lindsey and Gabe came into town Sunday night so Jon and I brought the boys down so we could all spend some time catching up. This was our very first time to meet Gabe and he is truly a wonderful baby :)

 

Spencer really seemed to enjoy having another little guy around. For the most part, he was very sweet and attentive to little Gabe. He made sure Gabe always had a toy and even tried to sit down and "read" a book with him. It was adorable! I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. 

On Monday, we went to the River Market for lunch. We ate in the food court there, which was interesting. It's not the typical food court you would find in a mall. There's no Mcdonalds or Taco Bell. They had a BBQ, Middle Eastern (which I was not brave enough to try), a smoothie shop, an Italian vendor, and a few delis and burger stops. I ended up with some shrimp and fries, which was actually very good. Gabe was such a cutie. He would smile and "talk" to everyone and was just being the sweetest little boy ever! Spencer was up to no good, as usual ;) He was in a very talkative mood and wasn't all that interested in eating. For some reason, Lindsey seemed to be his listening target. He would babble on and on to her about who knows what. It was very entertaining to watch :)

If you can't tell by Jon's face, Spencer is being somewhat of pickle.

After the River Market, we came back to the house and decided to go for a swim. As we pulled out the swim gear we realized that all of the boys have the same swim shorts! Aren't they a stylish looking group?

Spencer LOVED the pool. As you can see, we have a life jacket for him and we are really working on helping him learn to swim on his own. He's getting better, but he still has a tendency to lose his balance and flop around. 

Gabriel is such a little water bug! He cracked me up with all of his splashing and kicking. I think this boy is going to be a pretty serious swimmer in the future :)

William treats the pool like he treats everything else. He sits back and chills. His floaty lets him splash if he wants to, but he pretty much just floats around watching everyone else.

Gabe and William didn't really acknowledge one another. Gabe was much to busy crawling around and exploring things to pay him much attention and William was just too chill. He's content to be on his own. I did manage to get a few snaps of these cuties:

 

Spencer spent a lot of time in his newest gift from Nana:  a turtle pool!

It's actually a sandbox, but the idea of cleaning out sand from my child's clothes everyday didn't really sound too appealing to me, so we filled it with water instead. 

Best. Idea. Ever.

Spencer loves, loves, LOVES, his little pool. I foresee many a summer hour spent in this turtle.
